Editorial policy
How listings are sourced, checked, dated and corrected.

Where the records come from
Every scholarship in the catalogue was read from a primary source: a university, a government ministry, a scholarship agency or the programme's own website. Announcement aggregators and press summaries are not used as sources, and records carried over from an aggregator in the site's early months were removed before launch.
Each record keeps the official page it came from and the page the information was read on, so a claim can be traced back to a document. When a provider publishes nothing about a field, the record says so rather than filling the gap. That is why some listings show an unspecified deadline, duration or document list.
What the verification labels mean
Verified means the record's key details were checked against the provider's own pages. Where a check has been recorded, the page shows the date it happened. Unverified means the record describes a known programme but the details have not been checked against this institution's own pages, which is common for university awards that reuse a central scheme's terms. Those pages say so at the top, and they ask you to confirm the details with the provider before applying.
A verification label is not a promise that the award will be offered again next year, and it does not replace the provider's page. Funding amounts, eligibility rules and closing dates change, sometimes without notice.
How deadlines are handled
A deadline is published only when the provider states one. Each record carries a deadline state: confirmed with a date, closed because the date has passed, expected when the provider's annual pattern implies a month but the next cycle is not published, rolling when applications are assessed continuously, or varying by programme.
When a deadline passes, the record is marked closed and stays online. Closed cycles are useful for the next intake, and removing them would break links that students have saved. Records are re-checked on a weekly cycle, and a record whose deadline has passed is flipped automatically rather than waiting for the next editorial pass.
Funding claims
Fully funded is used only where the provider describes an award that covers tuition and living costs. A tuition waiver is labelled as a tuition waiver, even when a summary elsewhere calls it a full scholarship. Partial awards are labelled partial.
Where a provider states an amount, the amount is shown in the provider's own terms. Where a provider states no amount, none is invented, and the page says it is not specified instead of offering an estimate.
Community submissions
Anyone can submit a scholarship. Submissions do not appear in the catalogue until a moderator has checked them against the provider's page, and rejected submissions are never published. A submission that cannot be traced to a primary source is rejected, whatever its other merits.
Corrections
Every listing has a report button. A report goes to the editorial queue with the record it concerns, and corrections are applied to the record rather than to the page's text, so the change reaches the listing, the search results and the sitemaps together.
If you would rather write, the address for corrections is below. Include the listing URL and, where you have it, the provider's page that shows the correct detail. Reports about a wrong deadline or a dead application link are treated as urgent, because they cost applicants a cycle.
Who writes the content
Guides and articles are written by Zain Aqdas, who also maintains the catalogue. Programme guides are checked against each scheme's published materials, and the date of the last check is shown on the page. The author's page explains what that checking involves and how to raise a question about it.
What this policy does not cover
The catalogue describes what providers publish. It cannot decide your eligibility, and it cannot guarantee that a provider will honour a deadline or an amount it has since changed. Read the provider's page before you apply, and treat anything on this site that contradicts it as an error worth reporting.
Report a correction
Use the report button on any listing, or write to the corrections address with the listing URL and the provider page that shows the correct detail.
