Computer Science Scholarships for International Students 2026

Computer science is one of the most funded fields in higher education, with tech companies and universities competing to attract strong students. The awards below cover AI, software engineering and data science at every level.

1. Oxford-DeepMind Graduate Scholarship. Funds master's students in computer science at Oxford, supported by DeepMind.

2. Generation Google Scholarship. Google's award for students in computing who are underrepresented in the field, open at partner universities.

3. Microsoft Scholarship. Microsoft funds computing students through scholarships at partner universities, alongside its Research Women's Fellowship for PhD students.

4. Vector Scholarship in Artificial Intelligence. A top-up award for AI students at Ontario universities, funded by the Vector Institute.

5. MSc Ada Lovelace Scholarship at Imperial. Imperial College London's awards for women and home students on its computing master's programmes.

6. Schulich Artificial Intelligence Entrance Award. Supports students entering AI programmes at George Brown College in Canada.

7. Computer Science Cliff Kamara Scholarship at Newcastle. A computing scholarship at Newcastle University in the UK.

8. Artificial Intelligence and Data Science Postgraduate Scholarship. Covers postgraduate study in AI and data science at partner universities.

The tech-company awards (Google, Microsoft, DeepMind) are competitive and look for technical ability plus demonstrated interest in the field. University awards are often simpler and tied to admission. Deadlines vary by school, so check each listing and aim to apply in the earliest admission round.
