Fully Funded Scholarships for Bangladeshi Students 2026

Bangladeshi students are eligible for a wide set of fully funded awards, from UK government scholarships to university-specific funds. The strongest options for 2026 are below.

1. Chevening Scholarships. The UK government's fully funded award for a one-year master's at any UK university, covering tuition, living costs and return flights. Bangladeshi applicants apply through the Dhaka embassy.

2. Commonwealth Scholarships. Fully funded master's and PhD study in the UK for students from Commonwealth countries, with Bangladesh a regular applicant pool.

3. DAAD Scholarships. Fully funded master's and PhD study in Germany for development-related courses, open to graduates from Bangladesh and other developing countries.

4. Government of Bangladesh scholarships at the University of Hertfordshire. A dedicated scheme that funds Bangladeshi students at Hertfordshire in the UK.

5. President's Global Scholarships at Queen Mary. Tuition awards for undergraduate applicants from Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka at Queen Mary University of London.

6. British Bangladeshi Academic Futures Scholarship. Funded study at select UK universities for academically strong students of Bangladeshi heritage, including an Oxford route.

7. Bangladesh High Achievers Award at Nottingham Trent. A £3,000 tuition award for high-achieving Bangladeshi students at NTU.

8. Aga Khan Foundation Scholarships. Need-based funding for postgraduate study, open to students from Bangladesh and other countries where the foundation operates.

The government programmes (Chevening, Commonwealth, DAAD) are competitive and want strong grades plus a clear statement of purpose. University awards are easier to reach but cover less. Deadlines for the big schemes cluster between October and March, so start your application materials early and confirm every date on the official provider website.
