Fully Funded Scholarships for Vietnamese Students 2026

Vietnamese students can draw on a mix of international scholarships and awards tied to Vietnam itself, many of them fully funded. The best-known options for 2026 are below.

1. RMIT PhD Scholarships in Vietnam. RMIT University funds PhD study at its Vietnam campuses, covering tuition and a living stipend across a range of disciplines.

2. RMIT Vietnam Alumni Postgraduate Scholarship. A postgraduate award for RMIT Vietnam alumni continuing to a higher degree.

3. IMPACT Scholarship for Vietnamese Students. A merit scholarship supporting Vietnamese students at partner universities.

4. WUS Opportunity Scholarship at Vietnamese-German University. A scholarship from the World University Service for students at the Vietnamese-German University.

5. DAAD Scholarships. Fully funded master's and PhD study in Germany for development-related courses, open to Vietnamese graduates.

6. Chevening Scholarships. The UK government's fully funded one-year master's award, open to Vietnamese applicants with leadership potential.

7. Global Korea Scholarship (GKS). The Korean government's fully funded award covering tuition, airfare, a monthly allowance and language training, open to Vietnamese students.

RMIT's Vietnam campuses make it a strong first stop because the application is direct and the funding covers most costs. The government programmes (DAAD, GKS, Chevening) are more competitive and run on fixed annual cycles, so check their opening dates early. Verify every deadline on the official provider website before you apply.
